Girls Middle School Sideline Cheer · Trojan alum Brittany McIlvain named Junior High Cheer Coach

Brittany McIlvain ’17 (McMullen) has been named Junior High Cheer Coach at West Central High School seceding Hallie Morrow.

McIlvain served as Varsity Assistant Coach from 2018-2020 at West Central High School.  Coach McIlvain was a 4-time Cheer letterwinner during her four years at West Central.  She also earned All-American honors from 2015-2017 from the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA).

The 2017 West Central graduate served as an Instructional Assistant for the West Central School Corporation in 2019 and currently works as a Skills Trainer for Four County Counseling Center.  McIlvain is excited to lead the Trojan’s Junior-High Cheer Program this fall, “I am so thankful to be coaching where I cheered for so many years. I cheered in 8th grade, and continue cheering for the West Central Varsity Cheerleading Squad. After a year off of cheering, I was able to be an assistant coach for Kelsey Erb on the Varsity squad. I’m very eager to start sharing my love for cheer with young students!”

“Coach McIlvain has the background and experience to lead and serve as a role model for our 7th-8th grade Cheer Student-Athletes.  My confidence in her and in Coach Erb leading the Varsity team has our Cheer program in good hands.”
