West Central took their game in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game to topple LaCrosse. The game was tied at 11 with West Central batting in the bottom of the sixth when Garrett Leman singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
Despite falling down by four runs in the third inning, LaCrosse tried to fight back. LaCrosse scored six runs in the failed comeback on a triple by Brown in the fourth, a double by Brost in the fourth, a single by Latta in the fourth, and a single by Brown in the fifth.
West Central took an early lead in the first inning. Braden Nuest drew a walk, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, West Central tied things up at 11. Kolten Kletz drove in two when he singled.
After LaCrosse scored one run in the top of the third, West Central answered with one of their own. West Central then answered when Leman drew a walk, scoring one run.
Ethan White got the start for West Central. He surrendered eight runs on five hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out nine.
West Central saw the ball well today, racking up seven hits in the game. Korbin Mancilla and Kletz all collected multiple hits for West Central. Mancilla led West Central with three hits in four at bats. Mancilla led West Central with four stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with nine stolen bases.
